Cancelled Check

A cancelled check is a check that has been cleared by the bank and for which payment has been made. Such check are marked with a stamp or another for of marking. Cancelled checks can be used as proof of payment. In some instances where they are used as proof of payment both sides of the check have to be available for verification.
