Time Deposit

Time deposits are essentially deposits in savings accounts of various types or certificates of deposit. Time deposits are usually for a fixed length of time but in some cases withdrawals can be made before maturity with due notice to the financial institution with which the account is set up or the institution that issued the certificate.
